Craig Monen - Rogue River Lawyers - Attorney and Counselor at LawCRAIG MONEN is a lawyer committed to helping individuals and families address the legal and financial consequences of disability, incapacity and aging. He is honored by the personal confidence and trust his clients have placed in him and desires to establish long term relationships with his clients. Craig has been practicing law since 1975 and has been admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Minnesota, Michigan, New Mexico and Oregon. Since his admission to the State Bar of Oregon in 1983, he has practiced law in Southern Oregon with the law firm of Heuertz and Monen,¬†with offices in Rogue River, Oregon, until Loren Heuertz’s retirement in 2020. Craig Monen continues his Rogue River law practice as a solo practitioner.

Craig’s practice focuses on elder law and estate planning, including trusts and trust administration, probate, guardianships and conservatorships. He is an advocate for the elderly and disabled in cases involving financial abuse, conservatorship, trust and probate proceedings. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Elder Law, Estate Planning and Administration Sections of the Oregon State Bar, and the Jackson County Bar Association.

Craig received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in 1970 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Nebraska School of Law in 1974. A U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, he is an avid outdoorsman whose favorite activities are hiking wilderness trails and paddling rivers and lakes in his canoe. He is married and has raised four children in the Rogue Valley.
